Part-Time Nursing Science/Clinical Practice Instructor

Responsibilities:
1. Orients self to clinical facility as required by individual hospital/health care organization. Completes all clinical administrative tasks in a thorough and timely manner.
2. Meets and orients students to assigned health care setting for each rotation.
3. Instructs, supervised and evaluates each student in the clinical setting.
4. Responsible for student assignments and revisions as needed.
5. Acts as a resource person for students.
6. Provides students with constructive feedback and areas in which to strengthen.
7. Refers students to Nursing Skills Lab for practice when needed.
8. Writes and conducts clinical evaluations for all students at end of each rotation.
9. Communicates weekly with lead faculty.


Knowledge and Abilities:


Education and Experience:


Minimum Qualifications: (Faculty and Academic Administrator Positions Only)
Bachelors Degree in Nursing
AND
Approved by the BRN to teach
AND
Recent (within the past 5-years) clinical experience, including at least 2 years in the specialty


Desirable Qualifications:


Salary
$75.33 to $92.64 per lecture hour AND $62.52 to $76.89 per lab hour Finalized Salary Placement is based on units beyond a bachelors degree with a masters degree conferred.

Start Date

As soon as the successful candidate is identified and following the subsequent governing board approval.
