Do you believe Latin should be spoken, explored, and experienced, not simply translated? The Walker School is seeking an engaging and innovative Middle and Upper School Latin Teacher for the 20262027 school year.

About the Role The successful candidate will teach Intro to Latin, Latin II, and Latin III in small classes of approximately 8 to 16 students. Our Latin program incorporates spoken Latin, comprehensible input, storytelling, culture, and meaningful communication to make the ancient world relevant to today's learners.

What We're Looking For We are seeking a Latinist who:
  • Creates an engaging, student-centered, and low-anxiety classroom
  • Builds meaningful relationships with students
  • Brings creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm to the study of Latin
  • Values collaboration, professional growth, and involvement in school life
  • Holds a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree or advanced coursework preferred
